Off Road Places I Have Been
My love for Off Roading gives me an unquenchable thirst for exploration.
To drive a road or trail that I have never been on is a source of great
personal satisfaction.
A few of these trails are "World Class" hardcore trails, some are dirt
roads that could be driven in a family car (should you wish to abuse it
and yourself in such a way), most have at least some moderate to difficult
sections.
All are scenic and well worth the trip!

Johnson Valley OHV Area
This high desert 'Hard Core' mecca is the home of the famous 'Hammer'
trails. I am currently locating and mapping all of the existing trails
and approach routes on USGS topographic maps. I am also exploring
the Johnson Valley OHV area for potential new moderate routes that would
be challenging, yet less difficult than the world class trails that the
area is famous for.

Johnson Valley Trail Guide Very well done!
So far I have done:
-
Aftershock
-
Perhaps the easiest of the 'Hammers', it is still VERY difficult.
-
Fissure Mountain Trail
-
A moderate trail that traverses the hills/mountains that contain the 'Hammers'.
Very scenic and enjoyable.
-
Sledgehammer
-
One of the most difficult 'Hammer' trails
-
Lower Big Johnson
-
Actually easier than Aftershock if all bypasses are taken.
